Meet Jill -- wife, mom, and in-home graphic designer. The strip chronicles her life with a mix of journalized thoughts and dialog.

It is a personal account of a woman trying to do it all . . . juggle work life, family life, and sex life (or lack thereof) without going completely bonkers.

The Pajama Diaries tackles subjects that range from everyday silliness to social commentary. It is a sounding board for modern, multi-tasking women and their families.

Oh, and the characters grow older like we do, so the material will always stay updated (at least for the cartoonist).

The Characters
Jill Kaplan
Independent and introspective, this mom and freelance graphic designer balances work, family, and everything in between. Maintaining her own identity is important to Jill, so she records her thoughts in a day-by-day account. Memories, gossip, and even marital intimacy are all revealed in Jill's blog.
Rob Kaplan
Jill’s husband, a quiet, laid-back logical thinker. In other words, the antithesis to Jill. An I.T. guy, he’s there to lend Jill support, both emotional and technical. His only downfall is his persistent need for relations with his worn-out wife. What’s up with that?

Amy and Jess
Jill and Rob’s two rambunctious daughters who age in real time. Amy tries to prove she’s in command of the household. Jess – when not fighting with her sister -- is her wing-girl.

Grandma Sophie
Rob's old-fashioned grandmother who enjoys reminding Jill about the virtues of being the ideal homemaker.
Lisa and Nanci
Jill’s good friends who represent different facets of motherhood. Lisa is a good-natured – yet frequently overwhelmed – stay-at-home mother of three whose husband travels for his job. Currently, Lisa is going back to school for a teaching degree. Nanci is an assertive and ambitious single mom of twins. She is newly engaged to David, the father of a former beau.
Perfectville
The Kaplan's neighbors who live across the street. An updated version of the 1950's nuclear family (think June Cleaver with a cell phone), Jill often tries to emulate their lifestyle.
